Literature Text
Your fingers slide in between mine,
Our hands perfectly entwined.
Your arm wraps tenderly around my waist,
As you whirl me around and we trace
imaginary patterns on the floor.
Everything about you I adore,
as my head lies gently on your shoulder,
And we dance a dance that is older
Than time itself.
Your scent engulfs my mind,
And brings with it memories so refined,
Filled with pure emotion,
To you I promise complete devotion.
My senses are drowned out,
So that there is no room for any doubt,
Past worries and fears I twirled
As I fell into another world.
Hope and love fill my heart
As we perfect this dying art.
My dreams fall into place,
Made real by the smile upon your face.
And as we dance,
Our minds filled with true romance,
I mirror your movements
As we step backwards and forwards
To the slow, steady rhythm inside our heads.
Our hands perfectly entwined.
Your arm wraps tenderly around my waist,
As you whirl me around and we trace
imaginary patterns on the floor.
Everything about you I adore,
as my head lies gently on your shoulder,
And we dance a dance that is older

Impatient
If you talk to anyone who waits at red lights or cares about fashion or owns a gun, they'll know a thing or two
about all of us; all of humanity. We are all flowers, we are all little universes, we are all the underdog future.
And maybe this is completely true, and maybe some girl pierced her ear in the 8th grade bathroom, and maybe you
have sand in your shoes from that visit to the beach last week. What does it matter, is this an absolute?
We are all pieces of God, we are all forgetting about Heaven, we are all waiting politely for death to break in
through the bathroom window. You can ask the stains on the sidewalk, the birds who refus

Courage
Everybody will have one or multiple fears,
Some of them can bring us to tears.
Our fears will never leave us,
A fear is something we will always possess.
When we face that which we fear,
Even if it's only once a year.
We might be scared to death,
Slowly trying to get control over our breath.
Our heart is beating at a much faster pace,
We might even try to maintain a straight face.
Someone who is courageous,
Even if what that person does might be outrageous.
Is somebody who still fears like you and me,
But who still dares to be and think free.
True courage is not hiding from your fear,
But to face your fear head on, even if you'

Secondhand Moonlight
A dingy harem, scattered with junkies,
Stinking of lust and dusty Forget-Me-Nots
A black-veiled, crimson-lipped beauty
Night-haired and spacey-eyed
Purple painted nails laced with cigarette smoke
And a stubby cigarette laced with moonlight
Skulks to my side and burns a hand on my thigh
Age is creeping up her legs
And her panties smell of other men
And a bold-faced tattoo of last month's rent
Is stamped across her feverish forehead
Paper-thin desperation and two mouths to feed with a top hat on top
But the champagne tastes like honey and smells like jazz
You want to dance, Baby Girl?
So I jive with the Shadows and their Whores
